NOTE.—The Market reporter supersedes the periodicals entitled Food surveys and Seed reporter, which were formerly printed by the Markets Bureau but were discontinued with issues for June 27, 1919 (v. 2, no. 27), and Oct. 11, 1919 (v. 3, no. 4), respectively. For other periodical reports issued in mimeograph form during 1919 by the Markets Bureau, some of which have also been discontinued, see p. 2 and 3 of the Market reporter, Jan. 3, 1920, 5v. 1, no. 1.
The Market reporter is designed to be a medium through which the Bureau of Markets may present in convenient form marketing information of general interest and of permanent value. Important classes of agricultural products, both staple and perishable, will be covered. The information will be given in leading articles, comprehensive weekly and monthly summaries of movement, marketing, and prices of specified commodities, and tabulated statistics with interpretative text.
