NOTE.—Pt. 1 gives general information which may be useful to both military and civilian pilots and will be issued, together with a binder, to each naval aviator to be kept until he is placed on the retired list or otherwise becomes separated from duty involving actual flying. Pt. 2 gives specific information concerning landing fields, seaplane anchorages, routes, etc., and will be issued in sections, each section covering a State, to naval air stations and aircraft squadrons in numbers sufficient to take care of the needs of their respective personnel and will be kept normally in the station or squadron files being issued to pilots whenever necessary for particular flights. The Naval air pilot will be corrected and supplemented from time to time, when necessary, by the Notice to aviators, a monthly publication of the Hydrographic Office.
