Res. 73 establishes in the Smithsonian Institution a bureau which shall be directed by a board to be known as the Trustees of the National Gallery of Art, provides for acceptance from Andrew W. Mellon, donor of the National Gallery of Art, of a collection of works of art to be housed in said gallery, and changes the name of the present National Gallery of Art of the Smithsonian Institution to the National Collection of Fine Arts.]
