    Naval petroleum reserves. Submerged oil lands, hearings before subcommittee no. 4, 76th Congress, 1st session, on H. J. Res. 176, declaring conservation of petroleum deposits underlying submerged lands adjacent to and along coast of California, below low-water mark and under territorial waters of United States, essential for national defense, maintenance of Navy, and regulation and protection of interstate and foreign commerce, reserving same as naval petroleum reserve, subject to any superior vested right, title, or interest, and authorizing appropriate judicial proceedings to assert, ascertain, establish, and maintain right and interest of United States in such reserve, and to eject trespassers, and H. J. Res. 181, relative to establishment of title of United States to certain submerged lands containing petroleum deposits, Mar. 22 and 23, 1939.
