NOTE.—The Census Bureau collects and publishes monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics in processed form for numerous Industries and commodities under the general title Facts for industry. Summaries of most of these statistics are published later in Survey of current business issued each month by the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce. The Facts of industry releases are published with the objective of making available to manufacturers, trade groups and other users of statistical data, current figures that are useful to them in their operations and planning.
