NOTE.—The Federal register act (49 Stat. 500 as amended: 44 U. S. C, and supp. 301 et seiq.) provides in sec. 5 as follows: There shall he published in the Federal register all Presidential Proclamations and Executive orders, except such as have no general applicability and legal effect or are effective only against Federal agencies or persons in their capacity as officers, agents, or employees thereof.
Those Executive orders and Proclamations published in the Federal register will not he issued separately.
The distribution of Executive orders and Proclamations was transferred beginning Mar. 12, 1936. from the Department of Slate to the Division of the Federal Register, National Archives. Free distribution will lie only to appropriate agencies of the Government. The Federal register will lie sold by the Superintendent of Documents, Government Printing Office, Washington 25, D. C, on a subscription basis of $1. 50 per month or $15.00 per year.
